What is Zegalogue (dasiglucagon) for?

Zegalogue (dasiglucagon) is a rescue treatment indicated for severe hypoglycemia in adults and children with diabetes aged 6 years and older.^[1]

It is available as an auto-injector or as prefilled syringe, each containing 06mg/0.6mL dasiglucagon.^[1]

How does Zegalogue (dasiglucagon) work?

How is Zegalogue (dasiglucagon) taken?

The standard dosage is:^[1]

• 0.6 mg given by injection under the skin (subcutaneous)

The injections should be given in the lower abdomen, buttocks, thigh, or outer upper arm.^[1]

If there has been no response after 15 minutes, the patient may be given another dose.^[1]

Call for emergency medical help or a healthcare provider right away after you have injected Zegalogue (dasiglucagon).^[1]

Zegalogue (dasiglucagon) may affect the way other medicines work, and other medicines may affect how Zegalogue works, so it is important that you inform your doctor about all medicines you take.^[1]

You should not receive Zegalogue (dasiglucagon) if you:^[1]

• Have a tumor called pheochromocytoma in the gland on top of your kidneys (adrenal gland)
• Have a tumor in your pancreas
